All thanks to the gorgeous Black Cockatoos who were noisily feeding in the area, snapping off branches as they gorged on the Banksia fruit high above. I was captivated by the sculptural forms of the leaves as they curled and danced ballerina-like, with the ring of lower leaves giving the impression of a tutu. It was begging to be drawn…and drawn large!”
